W9JAB 156 #32 Posted March 15, 2010 B) Thanks to all for the "get wells" A little feedback yes it was the same snow blower I had all the trouble with, Put on a new jack shaft, all new gears, added a second idler as the original only had one, all new bearings, and chain. I got it all back together and went out for the test run. I was doing the walks in the hood, that had not been done all winter. Everything was working grate, cutting through plowed up snow banks from the city street guys 5 foot high and packed whit ice. when doing a long strip of walk and hogging out ice like mad, a large clump of ice came out of the shoot and stayed on the top of the blower deck. I got off the tractor to clean it off, Why? I "doe no!" But that's when I stuck my finger in to the small sprocket & chain on the top shaft. And yes the guard it in place, but it's the older type that just covers the top of the chain not the kind that also covers the side. Oh well I won't do it again so no matter. Once again thank you for the support. JOE W9JAB B)
