My grandfather did same thing with a wood spliter. He shook his finger out of his glove put it back on and yelled at us to get back to work and quit standing around. Hope all heels up good for you!

did that holding back a broken guard on a saw when i was a kid, not quite as much, was framing a house, wrapped it with napkins and electrical tape and went back to work, was afraid to loose my job.

And then you say ouch, Dammit. Then you tell yourself how dumb you are and you know better than that.. Been there, mine was a hay conveyor chain. 23 stitches, the end is still there but numb. I hope you heal up quick. Don't feed the horse an apple and it won't bite.. Good Luck to you. Pat

Ouch is right. I did something similar to my middle finger when I was 16 but it was from the spinning blade on a lawn mower. Mine is still numb but better then it was. I still have my finger nail

Hope it heals well. Horses don't bit, but a second of not thinking sure will.

I was just a little fellow some 65 years ago when I stuck my finger into one of the holes on the top of the electric motor on a churn. It chewed it up pretty good, I guess it was a good lesson. I still have all ten.

I worked with a guy who lost half of his pinky. One day I asked what time it was. He held up his last three fingers, I said "Its 3:00 already?" He said "No, its 2:30." As he held up his first three fingers he said "This is 3:00"

Hang in there, they'll fix you up. Lost part of mine, basically the hole finger print down to the bone, they managed to save mine. Still tingly and tight a year and a half later. I have a pretty gross picture of mine while healing, but I was way to high to get a picture of it before the Dr's. got a hold of it.
