jrb305 0 #1 Posted February 28, 2010 I just picked up the snowblower this weekend. After mounting the blower I started checking it out. The cable gets messed up and the chute only rotates so far. Both sides of the cable become tight, not allowing the chute to turn. I can manually turn the chute, the the cable pulls out enough to get slack and turns. Can anyone give me some info on how to straighten it up. Pictures always help too! Also, the adjustment on the chute is off. Some help with this is needed too. Anyone have a good pic of what I need to do there too. Lastely, anyone know what the model # is of the blower. There is no tag on it. Thank you for your help! Lane Ranger 10,501 #2 Posted February 28, 2010 Not too sure if the cable might be short but a new one from toro is about $11. Those rolelrs the shoot holds on to can be greased for some additonal movment. The bottom of the shoot looks like it had some welding work on it and perhaps it is lopsided -that needs to be checked. A good manual for a snowthrower will show the way to "sting" the cable properly. Wfburton159 0 #3 Posted February 28, 2010 You could just run a screw into the chute adjustment to keep it in place. I never adjust mine. This was in a thread called blower cable one or two pages back. http://www.wheelhorseforum.com/index.php?showtopic=6979
jrb305 0 #4 Posted March 1, 2010 I got the chute to rotate, but I will need a new cable. Thanks for the help. Any idea of the model # ? It is a 36"
TT-(Moderator) 1,128 #5 Posted March 1, 2010 Any idea of the model # ? It is a 36" I can't pinpoint it exactly, but you can use 06-42ST01 and it should get you close. Even though the auger is only 36" long, the wings add an additional 6" of width for a total of 42" swath.
