carguystl1 0 #1 Posted February 21, 2010 Hi, I'm Jeff and I have the collecting sickness. Somehow I caught the bug to collect lawn tractors. I have had a JD that I bought new in 87, but it all really started 6 years ago when someone gave me " Old Rusty " ( see profile pic ). Old Rusty isnt very pretty, but always starts, pulls hard, and is my 6 year old nephews favorite tractor, and the one he learned to drive on ! The funny thing is that I dont know what brand or year it is. I cant find any identifing tags. Under the hood is red paint. 6 HP horizontal briggs engine...Anyone know what this is ??? Roger from southern Iowa 1 #9 Posted February 21, 2010 I have an MTD with the very same cast aluminum grill/ headlight assembly as in the second pic. Mine is red with MTD logo on the side of the grill. As I remember mine has 16 or 18 HP Briggs with hydro and 15" rear tires. A true MTD garden tractor. Interesting to try to figure out who built what for whom! I believe "Old Rusty" is a Wizard by MTD. Just my opinion. B) Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

( God I already have 4 of them MTD's, much newer howerver !! ) Pond...any idea what year, and do you have any pics of your to share.
