Kelly 1,033 #4 Posted February 22, 2010 Post apicture I'm sure we can get you very close on a model and a year get the front of the tractor both sides and the dash area.
sorekiwi 761 #6 Posted February 22, 2010 There is no ID tag as such, but there should be a serial # on the shift decal: The bad news is that this wont help much in identifying the model. As Kelly said, post some pictures and we should be able to work it out.

Kelly 1,033 #8 Posted February 23, 2010 It's a 1962 for sure, I'm guessing a 702 or 552 both being elect. start, and this has the starter button.
sorekiwi 761 #9 Posted February 23, 2010 You might be able to tell whether it was a 552 or 702 by the marks on the frame where the motor was bolted down. The Kohler had a cast iron oil pan bolted directly to the frame, whereas the Tecumseh was mounted on a riser plate. Or maybe there's enough of the wiring left to tell? Doesnt matter really, they were the same tractor with different motors.
BPjunk 184 #10 Posted February 23, 2010 From the picture posted the Wheel Horse in question appears to be a model 702. Look to see if there is a wire coming from the battery to the ignition switch. If so it is a 702 as a 552 will just a wire that will be a short to ground. Wild Bill
