Stigs Shack...

Recommended Posts

Morning all, sorry it's been a while since I've posted anything on this fine forum, but life has taken an unexpected twist..

Yep, after seven years (which is a long time for me in one place) the time has come to move to somewhere a bit bigger..

We have been thinking of moving for a while but it wasn't until a barn conversion came up for rent (which we fell in love with), that made us get our @rses into gear and start the ball rolling..

Moving house is the easy bit... It's moving the Workshack and contents that's causing the er... most fun

To fund this move I have had to sell a few things...

My C-121 has gone, the 518-H goes to a new home on Saturday, and as much as I didn't want to sell it.. The Wheel Horse flail mower finishes on Fleabay tonight..

It's a shame to have to sell the WH's, but I know my collection will build back up again when the time is right B)

My wood burner has gone as well, getting it out the Workshack and up the garden for collection was fun..

The inside of the Workshack is starting to look a bit strange..

An empty space where the wood burner used to live!

The big bench with my 6x6 project on has come down..

Sorting out any scrap metal has taken a while, after seven years I collected quite a lot of it!!

The new house has a bigger garden, but alas nothing that could be called a Workshack!!

Which means a lot of work building a new one..

But at least I've got a bit of a head start..

Remember my Workshack extension that was built the other summer?

Yep, the bit with a shed nailed on the end..

Well, it's moving home as well

I think Pete is trying to say, "Ta-daa this internal wall has gone"!

A beautiful day yesterday, lunch of pie and coffee in the company of a couple of 'orses.

A quick pose for a photo.

Say hello to one of the many big spiders we disturbed..

And that folks is where Operation "Move the Shack" has got to..

Lot's of work yet to do and not much time..

Wish us luck, moving day is only 7 days away B)

hi Ian,

best of luck with the move. you sure are running on a tight time frame. i hope there will be some videos of the move, especially the work shack part. always fun to see how you get things done. make sure you have plenty "liquid inspiration" on hand. and watch those spiders, they're sneaky little buggers. B)

Ian, first off, on a side note, I loved the skiing thingy to the music, that was the best. Where did your snow go?? Good thing you do not have that to deal with along with the move. Good luck to you and keep us posted.
