Shuboxlover 480 #1 Posted February 14, 2010 Does anyone know if Wheel Horse advertised in magazines back in the day.....the reason I ask is I have a bunch of old magazine articles from 1956 that depicts my 56 Chevy. I have them displayed and it's neat to see the old advertisements. I was kind of wanting to do the same thing with Wheel Horse, but didn't know if they advertised in mags or not...when I'm in antique stores I always look but never see any. In particular I would be interested in 1976 C-160 and 1982 Work Horse GT-1642, but any advertisement would be cool. Thanks

bmuone 15 #10 Posted February 15, 2010 Hey Shuboxlover I put 'Popular Mechanic 1950' in google and came up with a scrolling page by page look at all the magazines. I guess you could put what ever year you want to check out for ads. Lots of good reading articles also.........
bmuone 15 #11 Posted February 15, 2010 I played around a little and found you can type in the year, go to that page and then type in wheel horse in the search and get all the ads and articles about the tractors....

CasualObserver 3,411 #14 Posted February 15, 2010 What magazines were they in? Or were they strictly limited to local news print ads? Some magazines that I've collected ads from over various years. Popular Mechanics Popular Science Popular Gardening Organic Gardening Flower Grower The Family Handyman Life National Geographic The Rotarian Local dealers would have been responsible for running their own local newspaper ads. A lot of these ads can be seen in the Literature and Memorabilia gallery.
stevasaurus 23,276 #15 Posted February 15, 2010 I found this magazine in my dad's things: there is also a place to post articles and such, tucked in with the tractor photo's library. Check it out and if you find any you can post them there. B)
