whfan74 2,071 #1 Posted February 13, 2010 I know many have desired a Wheel Horse museum located in South Bend. Now after reading an article from WNDU the local t.v. station in South Bend this was very interesting. The national college football hall of fame is leaving it's building and heading to Atlanta. There have been attempts to have the building filled for different reasons but to no avail. Sounds like it is going to be a hodge podge of things located there now. So who has the contacts to get even a little exhibit put together in the building? Just thinking outside the box......... Here is the article......... http://www.wndu.com/hometop/headlines/84267757.html
GlenPettit 1,717 #2 Posted February 13, 2010 I had heard that some of the original Wheel Horses from the factory display are now displayed in the 'Studebaker Car Museum', not sure where that is. Anyone know anything about this?

Rollerman 290 #5 Posted February 14, 2010 I visited the Stude Museum a few years ago. They had two on display...a Work Horse 700 & another...can't remember what model now. They did say there were 3 others in back, but lacked the room to display them. B)

CasualObserver 3,411 #12 Posted February 15, 2010 30 miles from Bloomington! Maybe I need to check? Randy Randy, they have a large collection of 'historical product' that is mostly in storage. They renovated one of the main offices several years back and incorporated wider hallways so they could display things, but most of the time it's newer or current models. Occasionally though they do cycle through some of the really good stuff. Unfortunately there's no way to know what's out at any given time.
