JimD 3,345 #1 Posted February 10, 2010 many of you may know that stevasaurus has had some bad luck with some injuries this past year. well, apparently he's done it again. he took a minor spill on his basement steps, and as it turns out he lives in Elgin, Ill., and the spill he took registered 3.8 on the Richter scale and was thought to be an earthquake. not to worry guys, everyone is ok, but steve does have a sore ankle. he said the quake, (the real one), woke everyone up early and gave them a bit of a scare, but they are otherwise ok. sorry steve, i couldn't help but pick on ya a little, but i'm sure you'll even the score.

stevasaurus 23,107 #6 Posted February 11, 2010 6wheeler (Pat)...the abuse is all of the fun. The art is to take that band wagon, that everyone is jumping on, and point it in a different direction. If you can do that...you will be successful in life and attain full consciousness. You do have to ask yourself...if you really want full consciousness. The other side of it is...when they stop picking on you...they don't like you anymore It is a fine line......."the world according to Steve" Pat...here is hoping you join in the festivities. Dan...you are right...the daughter got all the seat time, while I hobbled from one end of the house to the other trying to see my horse in action. the swelling did go down enough today for me to tough it out, and clear the extra 2 inches we got...so I did get some seat time this evening. :hbd:
whfan74 2,068 #7 Posted February 11, 2010 So glad to here you are up and around Steve! Been there done that and nothing more annoying than having a messed up ankle when you have things that need to get done. Alternate ice and heat. Ice for 10 minutes and then heat for 10 minutes. The heat will help increase the blood flow. Then the ice is put back on to help take care of your swelling. Do that for a couple of hours and it will help speed up the recovery process. Let me know if you need anything!
stevasaurus 23,107 #8 Posted February 11, 2010 Thanks Scott...been doing the heat/ice thing. Now that you ask...there is one thing I need. I need to stop being stuuuupid. I was bringing in a load of firewood before the storm started, and when I stepped down from the top step on the stairs, my left foot slipped (must of had a little snow on it) and down I went. It is always nice to know we still have gravity.
whfan74 2,068 #9 Posted February 11, 2010 Don't feel bad Steve........I have done it my share of times and I am sure others here can say the same thing. I am glad that it wasn't worse. You know it could have really been bad.......you could have hit your head and forgot everything you ever knew about the Horse's! Glad you are up and moving.......let me know if you need anything!
