Don, You a railroad guy? I work for a commuter railroad in NY/CT. Here we run push pull trains in bad storms, which is basically two diesels in different configs with big plows that run the whole line to the city and back to keep the rails clear. Daddy Don 911 #13 Posted February 10, 2010 truckin88 I am a terminal manager for Buzzi Unicem USA cement mfg. co in Oklahoma City. We produce cement and ship it by rail and brages. We deal with all the railroads in the US. We have several ways of moving railcars and we have to depend on the major rail lines to get our product to the terminal here in the US. We have 10 plants and 30 terminals in the US. When there is a problem like this one they inform us about it and send pictures of what they are doing. I got these yesterday from my boss in Indianapolis, IN. The BNSF had railcars coming from Cape Girardeau, Mo. We also had some cars from Festus/Selma Mo. also in route. It is a lot of fun it the winter time getting cars to where they need to be.

Dresden Guy 24 #15 Posted February 10, 2010 Don, GREAT PHOTOS!! I hope more trains get stuck so you can get even more shots or even some videos..... be sure to stand back far enough because that BLOWER puts snow drifts into the next zipcode. Don, if you're standing too close, they may not find you until the spring thaw! Is that a two-stage blower or just a 5,000 HP single stage? It's worth noting that that "GIGUNDOUS BLOWER" is actually WH red which would account for it's AWESOME POWER....can you get me a ride on the next snowdrift run?? Love those shots, keep em' coming.
