Things are very quiet here in the snow belt of Western NY..

we got nothing last weekend..and today got about half an inch..

the two big storms missed us completely..

Washington DC gets 3 feet in less than a week,

and Buffalo gets nothing!

strange days indeed..

I think its all over so I just cleared my 2" .

And to think my company closed down for this and zinged me out of a days pay .

We are Rick, we are. Just hitting some and missing others.

I just got in from round #4 and cleared another 8". The snow is officially up to my mid-thigh (I'm 6' tall) so I'm guessing with last weeks snow and this one we're at about 3'-3-1/2' at this point. Not too far below my hip. Last weeks snow had packed down to about 12", so this one is well over a 1-1/2' more and more likely 2' plus some. Hope all the other Mid-Atlanticer's are having as much fun as I am.

Forecasts are saying storm #3 is in the works..same general track..

for Monday next week!

Actually..looks like two different snow events in the works for the next 5 days or so..

one for the south, and another for the North East-Mid Atlantic:

still too soon to say really, but early reports say it might not be as big for NE-Mid Atlantic..

(personally I seldom trust forecasts any more than 2 days out..

but I think they are getting more accurate these days)
