B) I know not all of the registered members are actively involved. But I sure have seen more foot traffic through the site the last couple of months.

That is a definite credit to everyone here for making this the best Wheel Horse site on the web!

Red Square is a great place to spend time!

Would it be possible to put up a "History Page/thread" on Red Square?

You know when and how it all started, who thought of it first. That type thing.

I see Sparky is #2 , I never pay attention [wife says so] #1 is ?

Randy, I think #1 is whChris (not sure on capitalization) who started this great place! Regardless, thanks to everyone for where it's been and where it's going!

My wife loves it because she knows I'm in the basement and doing no harm. She can't quite figure out why I have suddenly shown a prurient interest in horses though.

B) It is such a great bunch of people, all wanting to spread what knowledge they have so that others may learn.

I think that I may have just visited and glanced off, only paying a visit or two every now and then when I needed something, but along came Max Nunn, and I learned what Wheel Horse people are all about. I'm sticking around.

2502 and counting!

This is definitely a great site...learned a ton...been able to help a little...and I feel welcomed and have made many friends. Plus, communicated with people around the world...how cool is that? B) It really does feel like family. I know with the expertise here we could make any of these horses from scratch.

I'm just glad we don't have to solve the health care debate. but it wouldn't surprise me if we could. :hbd:B) B)

Would it be possible to put up a "History Page/thread" on Red Square?

Yes, whchris started this place back in November 14, 2006, this year we'll be celebrating our 4th year. It was started as a different format than the Yahoo Groups, and to look like the old barn website.

Now the big question.......

Why is it called RedSquare?

Why is it called RedSquare?

OK, I'll toss out a guess: most of us come from or have at some point lived in a small town. Lots of small towns have a park or square in the middle that used to be (and for many still is) the focus of community activity. So when folks get together on the square, it's a community thing, and I'd like to think we are a special community here. As to the red - that's pretty obvious!

Just my two cents worth....others?

I think Duff is on the right track. A square can be considered a forum...a place to gather and exchange ideas...the RED is obvious. B)

OK...how about a hint? Was there any thought given to this...or is it the name of the street that Chris (whchris) lives on? B)

The hint is: Chris picked it, but didn't think of it as the name of the forum.

My guess is that Chris is a chess player and he was going to use RedSquare as his name, but changed his mind and used it for the name of the forum. B)

well... no.

When Chris setup this forum, he had to choose a template to use. Templates are the graphical design, and in our case that design was called RedSquare. The template came with a default logo named redsquare. It took a while to change our logo, and when we did the name RedSquare stuck.

Ok, next question:

Who designed our current RedSquare logo (this is an easy one!)?

I like your post Jason!

Red Square - My guess? The "red square" around the Wheel Horse head.
