I live in Belchertown, MA and am 35 years old. This senate seat has not been held by anyone else but a democrat as long as I can remember. If Scott Brown does win, this will be a historical moment for our state, and quite possibly the start of a movement country wide.

Please keep in mind this post was neither an endorsement for a political party, or a political statement on my part.

I am a firm believer in the Constitution and Bill of Rights, and whichever way this election turns, the will of the VOTING people will be served.

If you do not exercise your constitutional right by not voting today, you don't have the right to complain afterward when the historical results of this election do not go as you desire. :thumbs: THAT boys and girls, is AMERICA!

Who designated "Red and Blue states" anyway?

it always seemed to me the colors are backwards..

Blue states should really be Red,

and Red states should really be Blue..

that just seems so much more logical to me..

"Ted the Swimmer" occupied that senate seat since 1962, I'm glad to see it returned to the people of the state of MA.

it seems to me that it's the people's seat no matter who occupies it.

At the end of the day nothing is going to get done, doesn't matter if its blue, red, green, black, white or pink. :thumbs: Don't get me wrong I am a voter and beat the drum that all Americans should be, but lets look at this for a moment; Dems fought amoung themselves (even with absolute power) and now the Rep can really dig their heels in. Sounds like a productive situation.

Chaney-style juggernaut Republican oligarchy that got us in the mess we are

still in.

Okay, this thread is starting to take a turn for the worse. Mike's original post was to encouraged the Massachusetts' voters to vote. They did, the election is over, and I don't see any point to analyzing the outcome. I'm closing this thread.
