Mith 2 #4 Posted February 28, 2008 Nice one Ian. Triples next? Never seen a GT with triples, its gotta be worth it for a photo Load that tractor up and it'll push until the power runs out! You get 50lbs of water in each tyre, and 200lbs on the back easily.
Nick 13 #5 Posted February 29, 2008 Nice duals Ian. Makes me want to use the dual rings that have sat on the shelf for 3 or 4 years. Mith, No pics of triples how about Quads.. See this at a local show.

pond195520032003 27 #7 Posted February 29, 2008 you actually have a pic of that one that was a decent tractor, just needed to take that ugly stack off :D
Nick 13 #8 Posted February 29, 2008 Ian, I forgot to say your duals would work great with a loader. They also turn into a big mud roller if you drive in wet field.
pond195520032003 27 #9 Posted February 29, 2008 Ian, thats a nice set up! my tractor actually has the tool box under the seat! here is my tractor with dualls
CasualObserver 3,406 #10 Posted February 29, 2008 Put slicks on that thing and you have your own lawn roller! I'd imagine it does pretty well as is too!

Stigian 1,234 #16 Posted February 29, 2008 Cheers for all the great comments guys The ol 312-8 is starting to looks a bit of large beast with all the "extras" bolted on Im also amazed at how much more stable and how large the WH feels with the extra rubber I might have to have a play with the blade today to see how much more traction the duels give I do need to make some wheel weights though, i not sure on the water in the tyres idea Jim, it would have me running off to use the bushes all the time :D
T-Mo-(Moderator) 4,337 #17 Posted February 29, 2008 Ian, If you want wheel weights, those old round bar bell type weights worked good. The old cast iron ones. If you want to add weight to the back there have been several ideas here and I'm sure you could fabricated something also.
Stigian 1,234 #18 Posted February 29, 2008 I like your thinking Terry Some weights should'nt be too hard to find. Better keep my eyes open on freecycle
