Horse Fanatic 49 #1 Posted January 2, 2010 I was looking for something to do today and I had an NOS older style rear lift bellcrank I got cheap but it won't work on my newer tractors. So I modified it so I could use it. First was to remove the second lever, then shorten the 3/4" shaft. Then I put the notches in it for the chain. Since this was a thinner lever I thought I should widen it (like the newer ones were) because the notches weaken it. I welded a piece of key stock on the back to beef it up. The only thing left, since I can't really put the groove in for snap rings, I will drill holes and use a cotter or hitch pin to hold the rod in place on the fender stand. bitten 133 #3 Posted January 3, 2010 Glen If you can get it into a drill press and chuck it up you can use one tooth of a hack saw blade to cut the groove.I say one tooth because if you use more it might cut it to wide. It worked for me.
