Jim_M 179 #1 Posted December 28, 2009 I happened to look out the window a little bit ago and saw this. I manged to sneak a picture without scaring them all off. There were a few more in another tree and a few on the ground too. I just thought it was kind of a neat winter picture.

Gerry w 2 #5 Posted December 28, 2009 Man that's cool!! At first I thought you had photo shopped them but no!! I've never seen that many "Reds" together at once!
Jim_M 179 #6 Posted December 28, 2009 My wife has 4 bird feeders within 20 feet of that tree, all with a different kind of food in them. If you look closely you'll see half an orange on the trunk of the tree, that's for the Yellow Bellied Sapsuckers and Red Bellied Woodpeckers. They love oranges. There are about 30 cardinals at a time in the back yard almost every day. Since she started feeding the birds about 10 years ago I've seen birds in my back yard that I didn't even know lived in Indiana. I can name most of them, but she can name ALL of them. Jim_M 179 #20 Posted December 31, 2009 Jim, You need a BB gun! J/K I've got one. I use it to keep the squirrels off of the bird feeders. It takes about 10 minutes for them to come back after I sting their butt with a BB. They're really determined little creatures.

dunk50 6 #24 Posted January 5, 2010 BB guns for squirrels. I use a 1000' per sec. pellet gun. Drops them in their tracks. Tenderize it a little and it's every bit as good as rabbit.
