I even found a really nice blower for my neighbor I sold the 312H to so he is pumped to give it a work out. Here is what johndee.com is saying as of right now. stevasaurus 23,307 #6 Posted December 22, 2009 Do you see how those snow maps just kind of tease the Chicago area? whish I could help on the flywheel.
Confused99 2 #7 Posted December 22, 2009 Sounds like you need a second tractor . Good luck finding one Jason
VinsRJ 723 #8 Posted December 22, 2009 Thanks for the links but I am hoping I can find someone here will willing to ship one out today and with a little bit faster delivery... I still have a lot of snow in my driveway from the last snowfall... Kohler flywheels are difficult to locate no matter what style or HP...... Make sure the backside of the key way is crack-free.... its the weak point of K-series flywheels, even the smallest crack can cause huge problems. It took me about 6 months to locate a good flywheel for my K161.
Sparky-(Admin) 23,315 #9 Posted December 23, 2009 So is Duke located anywhere in the "snow zone" on your maps?? If so the storm will probably just pass to the north or south of you . HEHE. Mike.......
Operator 7 #10 Posted December 23, 2009 Day 4 Trace for the Duke ! Bummer I wanted to see pic's. I don't know Jason I'm on the heavy line all three days. Lucki if we get 3". you think Dave Dahl and Belinda can get it right? Randy

big mike 13 #12 Posted December 23, 2009 I am maybe 5 miles east of Duke and I have not even THOUGHT of getting snow removal equipment ready.....it's ready I just cannot get it out the door to use it We have about 2 inches now and it is supposed to be almost 40 tomorrow. I never knew K161/181 flywheels were hard to find......I have good stock if you still need one.
Confused99 2 #13 Posted December 23, 2009 I don't know Jason I'm on the heavy line all three days. Lucki if we get 3". you think Dave Dahl and Belinda can get it right? Randy We will see I guess. Dave said at the 6:30 news that Thursday we may get a little sleet/rain for a period of time but it may still stay south of us. I am hoping it does. It also looks like the heavy snow band (15-20+) has shifted north a touch which puts us out of the heavy snow area but right on the edge. We are still predicted to get 6-14 by Saturday. kajamo240 3 #14 Posted December 23, 2009 Big Mike, pm sent. :notworthy:
Confused99 2 #15 Posted December 23, 2009 Well, Dave keeps moving the heavy snow line farther north. He is also still saying some rain here Thursday for a while. He does though predict 10-12" for the cities still. Jason
Jim_M 179 #16 Posted December 23, 2009 Our weather men around here are all saying " it's going to do something somewhere and it could get bad for some of you people sometime...maybe....stay tuned...."
christopherX 0 #17 Posted December 23, 2009 Down here in Western Illinois were going to miss out on all the fun and get mostly rain depending on how stalled it gets when it tries to go east will determine how much snow we get...no Blizzard for us. chris
Confused99 2 #18 Posted December 23, 2009 Dave keeps saying more likely some sleet here in the metro which will bring totals down considerably John Dee is saying the sleet/rain won't make it this far north. I usually trust him over most anyone. I hope he is right this time Here is the updated forcast from www.johndee.com Jason
Operator 7 #19 Posted December 23, 2009 I'm still in the day 2 8" to 12" Randy
Confused99 2 #20 Posted December 24, 2009 It's snowing . Sounds like we have a chance of staying out of the sleet too. They are predicting 10-14 for us in the metro and 20+ northwest of me in central MN. I will get some pics of the blower in action and a video if I can figure it out. Confused99 2 #21 Posted December 24, 2009 We ended up with around 7" here by this morning . It has stopped for now but expected to pickup later today with a total by Sat morning of 12-18" here in the metro. Here are a couple pics and vids. Sorry for the low quality added to that it being dark (6am). Jason
Operator 7 #22 Posted December 24, 2009 See Jason good things come to those who wait - I'm still waiting. We got maybe 4" by this morning. So far. Randy
Confused99 2 #23 Posted December 24, 2009 Well, 4" is better then my BIL got down in Iowa. Did you get out and play yet Jason edit - Got the parts yesterday. Check heading your way.
Confused99 2 #24 Posted December 24, 2009 I should also add the cab was an excellent investment. Light gloves and just the carhart coat was enough to stay confortable. Plus I came out not looking like a snowman. I do have one thing I would like to change, I would like to get 2 link chains. The 4 link work but provide a bumpy ride. It is more of an annoyance than anything. Jason
Operator 7 #25 Posted December 24, 2009 Well, 4" is better then my BIL got down in Iowa. Did you get out and play yet Jason edit - Got the parts yesterday. Check heading your way. That is quick Jason! I thought you'd get them today. Haven't been out to play yet, Coffee and b-fest, computer time. A fast partial clean-up I'll let my shop area add up, but clean out for house area. Merry Christmas, Randy
