Prater 76 #1 Posted December 22, 2009 I just got back from the ER this afternoon with my 5 year old son. He has broken his arm once again, just healed from a Sept 15th break. The same arm broken again, his right forearm just behind the old break. Then I find out the post office has lost my grille for the D180. It comes in threes, wonder whats next... TT-(Moderator) 1,162 #2 Posted December 22, 2009 Then I find out the post office has lost my grille for the D180. How on Earth could anyone lose a grille for a D?!?!?! Maybe it was just too big to fit in the mail truck! I sure hope things turn around for you soon! :notworthy:
rmaynard 16,487 #3 Posted December 22, 2009 Maybe snow. Too bad about the 5 year old. Nothing like a cast for Christmas. Having raised 2 kids of my own, and now having 3 grandsons, ER trips seem fairly common. Good thing for me the ER is only 5 minutes away. Oh well, hope all goes well and number 3 never occurs. Prater 76 #7 Posted December 22, 2009 Thanks for the well wishes on the kiddo. I know the delivery driver from the PTO at school, our kids are in the same grade. I will try to catch her tomorrow and see if its in her car. She is a petite thing so if its heavy they keep it for me at the main post office. I have to go there tomorrow anyways and pick up the replacement pump for the D180 anyways.
Prater 76 #8 Posted December 22, 2009 Yeah, I am not new to lost packages, or damaged packages, or packages stuck in customs. I have shipped things since the early 90's. The worst was a package stuck in Costa Rica. It was a server I shipped to a new company. DHL was supposed to pay for the taxes and bill me. They lied, had to have a service tech fly privately down to the island where it was stored and pay to get it sent on through. I also had UPS run over a brand new box of power supplies, rebox them and ship them through to me like nothing ever happened. Just a little unnerved today with my kiddo's situation. It will get taken care of.

Buzz 502 #11 Posted December 22, 2009 Sorry about your sons arm, but I bet he'll surprise you with how fast he can open his Christmas presents with his good arm. We are raising our grand-daughter and she started 1st grade with a broken leg and 3rd grade with a broken elbow. Had one cast wrapped in pink, the other one in light green. When they removed them we kept them and hung them up in her room like wind chimes. Told her we didn't need a full set. Merry Christmas.

stevasaurus 23,420 #13 Posted December 22, 2009 Poor little guy...it is hard to cope with, when your kids are in pain. Sometimes I woundered if mine would ever see their next birthday. Soounds like you already know they bounce back pretty fast. It is harder on us then it is on them. Drives you crazy. Let's hope that sometimes things happen in 2s. rmaynard 16,487 #14 Posted December 22, 2009 Steven, Just curious, how did he manage a double break like that? Bob
Prater 76 #15 Posted December 22, 2009 Bob, it had just healed from a break a few months back. He was fighting with the neighbor kid and fell backwards on the concrete. We just got back from getting the permanent cast.
