Hey Chris,

Been following your progress, as all have stated keep up the hard work to maintain your healing. When I built my house I cut my left hand with a table saw pretty bad, nerves cut, etc. They did a great job at the hospital but the road back was long and hard. Force yourself to work on the arm's area everyday, do not settle for half way, work it!

Gerry I am sorry to hear about your injury.

And today was my second session of physical therapy. The therapist has me doing exercises like making a fist by squeezing my hand together with my right hand. and then moving my wrist because it has been in the same position for a few weeks in the same spot.

Well guys I just got back from physical therapy. I was doing my regular exercises with the therapist and then she said she wanted to try something different today Then she said she is going to have me try to move my fingers and wrist. And I was able to do a considerable amount after having my fingers/ wrist in same position and not using my muscles to move my fingers and wrist on my own, instead of using my other hand. I am now able to shower without having a bag covering my arm, and I dont have to sleep with my arm elevated. It was great for me to hear/ see all of the progress I made today. I have been going 3 times a week(Monday, Wednesday, and Friday). I cant believe in only about a week I will be about halfway through the healing progress. :banghead:

Keep on top of that therapy......if you work it well then you will be suprised on how well your body responds. In all my experiences with therapy....no I am not talking about my shrink ......my body came back stronger than it was prior to the injury!

I was going to say that since Chris had his accident there are a lot more horses around the great CT area that haven't already been sold to to someone named Chris

I am glad to hear you are getting better. Therapy sucks but you really need to do it or it will not heal right and you will not have full use of that hand. Keep it going.

Also today I had another therapy session and I started earlier then expected on scar therapy to try and break up the scar tissue in my arm. All of the "butterflies" came off the cut finally. Here are some pics of the cut. It is healing pretty good, cant believe this Friday will be 6 weeks since it happened already.

The scar below the cut is from a burn from an exhaust, when I was working on a C-121 I had.

On my 21st bday I seemed to have a few too many and got mad and put my fist through a window and when I pulled it out it opened my arm up pretty good. We now have matching scars. I will show you sometime. I did scare therapy but not enough. My scar is attached to my tendons.

I'm sure a good Tattoist could incorporate that scar into a tatto Chris.

Well guys I had therapy yesterday afternoon and now I dont have to wear a forearm splint anymore just one on my hand. They said I making progress. My motto is "Take it day by day!"

And Chris yes it goes all the way around my forearm

That scar is a badge of honor right there..........oh the stories you could make up to impress the ladies!
