~ETC~ 0 #1 Posted December 9, 2009 OK i have 2 wheel horses. a b-111 and a b-81 both have the 4 speed uni drive both have sloppy/wobbly axle shafts were there once bearings in the ends of the axle housings or just metal sleeves? how have others repaired this sort of problem? on both WHs when i tore the transmissions apart i found remnants of possible bearing cases/ sleeves their so far gone i cannot tell what they once were Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
Save Old Iron 1,563 #2 Posted December 9, 2009 I just guessing here - but the bearings and bushings probably disappeared somewhere along this timeline - from your website how have others repaired / avoided this problem ?? not this way, wee laddie. (again, from your website) use your model and serial numbers - go to the toro website and order / download a repair manual for the transmissions. search this site for bearing and seal replacement part #'s that can be ordered from NAPA or TORO Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Buzz 502 #10 Posted December 14, 2009 According to Toro's website, both the B-81 and the B-111 have Peerless 669 transmissions, not Unidrives. I don't know if you can get parts to rebuild them or if it would be worthwhile . You can always download a manual to see if it's something you'd want to try.
