stevasaurus 23,276 #1 Posted December 8, 2009 OK...I see no one has posted snow pics yet...we had a bout 3 inches last night,,,supposed to get 5-10 inches to night and tomorrow I'll do a vedio tomorrow if that happens. Just to wet the appetite of those who are waiting yet or for those who never get to see it: the 857 with my daughter at the reigns. This was without chains...put them on after this for tomorrow. :notworthy:

Suburban 550 28 #7 Posted December 9, 2009 Steve, thanks for the pics. We're supposed to have a sloppy mix startin' tonight changin' over to fairly heavy rain tomorrow. Have the horses all dressed up and no place to go. Sooner or later we'll get the big one. Can't wait to see your video.
stevasaurus 23,276 #8 Posted December 9, 2009 It has just started snowing huge...1" per hour Could be a big one... "the night Chicago Died" I'm like a kid in a candy store. OK...if this was March or April... Hope you get some of this Duke...want to see that horse in action. :banghead:
Suburban 550 28 #9 Posted December 9, 2009 Steve, since Duke built the ultimate snowblower, there has been a major snow drought in Niles, Michigan. :notworthy:
stevasaurus 23,276 #10 Posted December 9, 2009 Indy...I hope that means the parts are in the mail. I got the spring from "norms Toys" on Monday...ready to put the HY-2 back together...just in time. Give you a call when I receive the package. Ray... called the Duke just a little while ago...excited about the storm...it may miss him this time...but he knows he will get his chance. Talked about the Sasquash... ..which is why I called him. Thought I was going to crack another rib. :WRS:
Indy w h 5 #11 Posted December 9, 2009 Steve, the parts are In the mail to me!! ( I hope) then they will be on there way to you. They had a glitch in the system , so they never sent me the parts. I love these people(yeah right) I'm to get them Thursday Indy :notworthy:

cwilson 0 #14 Posted December 9, 2009 I've said it before. What's snow? I mowed just 10-12 days ago....
JimD 3,347 #15 Posted December 9, 2009 nice pics steve, thanks. looks like your daughter handles that horse well. she muxt be an experienced Whequestrian!! :notworthy:
stevasaurus 23,276 #16 Posted December 9, 2009 yea...she is experienced. When I was working last year, she figured out how to start the horse and did the drive before I got home. She doesn't even feel bad about cheating me out of the saddle time. You know how women love to ride horses. Anyway, we got cheated on the big storm also...only another 1 1/2" and sprinkles. Looks like it went north so the vedio will have to wait. Maybe the south-eastern Indiana boys are going to get it. That would mean vedios from Niles. :)
MaineDad 87 #17 Posted December 9, 2009 I'm already looking forward to pictures of roto-tillers. Tom Me too... Supposed to get about a foot today with freezing rain to finish things off Let it snow all it wants, but keep the liquid stuff for summer!
Indy w h 5 #18 Posted December 9, 2009 Is this snow?????? Indy
Raider 2 #19 Posted December 9, 2009 We got socked last night, over a foot easy. I had the 312-8 with blade out last night but the snow was too heavy to make good progress. This morning I put the blower on the Raider, chained it up and let it eat. Say what you want about Tecumseh engines, the HH100 in that Raider just rips through that heavy stuff, even at the end of the drives it was throwing snow way down the ditch. Lots of fun but I got soaked :notworthy:
stevasaurus 23,276 #20 Posted December 9, 2009 Hey Raider...glad to see somebody got snow you could measure. I like the Techy's...just takes a little more expertise to keep them running. Did you take any pics? Indy...no that is not snow...looks like you had blown in insalation put on your yard. at least with your yard insulated, you won't have to worry about frost. :notworthy:
Raider 2 #21 Posted December 9, 2009 I didn't take any pics of the snowblowing, sorry. I was wishing I was taking a video of the Raider snorting through the drifts but I'd have probably destroyed my camera, it was pretty ugly out there. I threw most of the snow off the south side of my drive so maybe a little of it made it down your way Steve?? I wouldn't mind if my son had the driveway plowed out for me like your daughter did, just as long as he stays away from that snowblower, those things cold do some real damage and quick. Indy w h 5 #22 Posted December 9, 2009 I almost got out the 1054 to plow the snow, but I was affraid I'd get stuck!! Indy
stevasaurus 23,276 #23 Posted December 10, 2009 make you a deal Raider...you throw that snow toward me, and I'll throw it south to Indy. :notworthy:
whfan74 2,071 #24 Posted December 10, 2009 Great pictures Steve! Hey quit hogging all of the snow......let some of it pass you and make it my way!
