Just want to introduce myself. I've got a C-101 that I inherited from my dad years ago. I never realized how nice a tractor this really is until I decided to do some overdue maintenance. Now I'm hooked and ready to put this tractor into top working condition. I won't do a show quality restoration, but want a top notch working tractor. I never realized that the 42" plow I have was once painted red!!! I'll be checking out this forum as I get more time. I hope to post some pictures of the tractor and attachments soon.

Thanks for the welcome. Lot's of great information here. Now getting my C-101 back in shape and ready for some final yard cleanup and then get the chains and plow ready for snow. I found some milky gunk in the 8 speed trans so I've flushed it twice with some ATF and oil. I'll do it again after some run time. Went thru the fuel system and cleaned the tank, put a new shutoff and bushing, new fuel hose, new filter ,cleaned the pump, and went thru the carb. New points, plug and air cleaner. Put on a new drive belt, adjusted the brake, reshimmed the steering shaft, greased all fittings, lubricated everything that moves. Took off the rear wheels, cleaned and painted them. Got a new (used) set of front wheels since one of the originals is busted out where the bearing fits in. . Cleaning, sanding and painting as I go. Taking each tach-a-matic off cleaning greasing and painting. That's a great system when everything is in good order. The tractor starts and runs 100% better and starting to look good again. The plow comes out this weekend and I'll need to spend some time getting that cleaned and painted. I hope the snow holds off for a while. Still got a lot more to do to get this old girl in top shape and every little thing just leads to more details. Looks like I've got another never ending project on my hands. Sure is great to see the results as I go.

Thanks again to a great group. Steve
