Need Help with Drive Pulley

Recommended Posts

Polaris2007

Hi all. I'm ready to put the drive pulley back on my C-120's 8-speed transaxle, but I can't remember which side of the pulley faces out. One side of the pulley has a slightly longer hub than the other. The other difference between pulley sides is that one side has some numbers cast into the outer rim, and the other side does not. I'm not sure if the long hub is on the side with the numbers cast into the rim or not.....can anyone tell me which way this pulley should go on? :scratchead:

Thanks, Jon

Jon it will be Saturday before I can get a look at mine. Is your pulley the solid one or is it the spoked one?

Here is my 1977 C-120 the long side of the hub goes in and the short side is flush with the end of the shaft.

I'am having a little problem of the engine throwing oil out when it's running and can't see where its coming from. That's the reason I have the tractor apart.

Thanks a bunch guys. Mine is the spoked pulley, just like Don's. So I will install it just as it is in Don's photo's. ---Jon
