Duff 206 #1 Posted October 29, 2009 Pulled up fleabay just to see what was out there for WH parts. Imagine my suprise when I ran "Wheel Horse" in the search field and instead of the usual 600-900 items, out came 3,525 listings! At first I thought I had done something wrong so I ran it again - same results. So I started poking around and along about page 16 or 17 I started seeing the Toro OEM logo in front of items. Discovered that some outfit called "lakewooddeals" in MO seems to have put up their entire parts inventory. So much for any more casual lunch time reads of what's out there for WH stuff! Not that I'm a huge fan of fleabay, mind you, but once in a while a good deal does sneak in there. Duff :hide:
VinsRJ 723 #2 Posted October 29, 2009 I've noticed that also from time to time. Now tomorrow it will be back down to 600-900 items. Wierd :scratchead:

bitten 134 #4 Posted October 29, 2009 Try typing in wheelhorse without the space seems like you get less of the other items.
fireman 1,022 #5 Posted October 29, 2009 Like bitten said type wheelhorse without the space. When searching using wheel horse with the space, make sure you put it in quotes "wheel horse". Also make sure you check the little box that says "Include title and description". This way it will search it with the words togther and not just the two words that may be used in a listing. Another tip is when in the search window, over on the right side there is a drop down menu called "Sort by". Sellect "Time: newly listed". This will list everything you searched for by the newest to the oldest. This way you can start looking at it until you see where you last left off. Just my $.02 and how i've been doing it for years. Duff 206 #6 Posted October 30, 2009 Thanks for the tips, guys! You've just saved me a ton of time in surfing the site! Duff :scratchead:

Just flag the ones you want to watch, and you never have to go any further. (I just wonder how many times I've been bidding against him though) :scratchead:
HorseFixer 2,013 #8 Posted October 30, 2009 This is what I do I search for items in>>> Home > Buy > Home & Garden > Yard, Garden & Outdoor Living > Outdoor Power Equipment Ya get alot less Trash Listings that way. Then I bookmark them. :scratchead:
fireman 1,022 #9 Posted October 30, 2009 Duke, Only problem with that is alot of people list things in the wrong categories. I can't count how many times I have bought things for the original listed price and had no one else bidding against because me. I once bought a brand new $1500 Dacor Diving Dry Suit for the opening bid of $300 because the guy listed it in Watersports section but put it under "other" instead of "Wetsuits & Drysuits" . Duff, The other thing to do is once you do your search, you can save the search in your searches section of your "My Ebay" page. I have all my searches saved there. Just one click and that's it. Never have to type the words in again.
VinsRJ 723 #10 Posted October 30, 2009 SWEET! At any given time we are bidding against ourselves. :scratchead:

Jeff Well sometimes I do it that way first, and then sometimes I get creative and mis spell words on purpose! and I have ended getting stuff that way! :scratchead:
MikesRJ 558 #12 Posted October 30, 2009 If you search "wheel-horse" that will give results for both "Wheel Horse" and "Wheelhorse", but not return, for example, "Wheel Carriage Horse". Food for thought.........
