my wife sent me to  home depot  for a shower head  that she had  specked out , said  it had a terrific rating and was on sale , KOHLER  FORTE # 317603 , 24$ , especially love the extensive  shower head aeration , to the extent  of reducing  steam in the shower , very  large soft  drops , easily adjusted into perfect  spray zone , easily worth a look , pete

Half inch NPT should screw right on.  Adjustable volume, course, fine, and pulsing exhaust....what's not to like?

A small amount of silicone plumber's grease (not petroleum grease) on the O-rings can ensure smooth operation and improve sealing.

@ lynnmor , really , like the rain like  discharge  is what makes it , the other thing  we see is the removal of any  steam like vapors , even with a ceiling fan , mirrors stay  clean and clear , like a bonis , just a  swipe of teflon tape and you are good to go , pete

@Bar Nuthin  that plumbers grease , insures that the rings do not trap (  hold ) in place , thats a vital  part of  hydraulics  , we were always given a  related to trade , work sheet  , telling each related trade , DETAIL  INSTALATION , VERIFACATION , gasketing , grounding , lab test , flow , filter  replacement. most of what we made at PFIZER  WAS FOOD GRADE , every  batch  / tank was lab tested . made a lot of miller beer base , clear / see thru , did everything , pete
