Any lube here…

  Putting the C-145 back together and before I do is there any maintenance or lube spots that I should address? 
  Not very familiar with the hydro stuff.

I know it's not Pete's favorite, but why not use the dry silicone spray on the cam & guide... red grease would attract dirt, dust, clippings, etc.

@Sparky @ri702bill  hey  thats ok , just the fact  that  you are  THINKING  OF  ENHANCING MOVEMENT  FUNCTION , is the issue . you know what  you can try? have any thin teflon sheeting / scraps ? make up a  same size washer under  that  metal to metal , slide / swing point !  another rugged vinyl is the , sno sliders , roll ups , makes a great snow blower chute bottom slider  point , like pam  , food spray on that , BTW  SUPER LUBE , LIQUID makes for very easy sliding , choke and throttle  cables .  @Sparky   notice the fraying on the right side of that  belt ? thats telling you  of  a  control  tracking issue , like belt  bounce . or  tracking issue , done a lot of those , pete

Clean the joint with the big washer top and bottom with parts cleaner and keep it dry.  Put some grease in the long slot.  Remove the console cover, clean the fins and everything under there, then oil every moving joint you can find, I like motorcycle chain lube.

@lynnmor  like a chain lube as a  follow up to penetrating  oil  for  rustproofing , like it at highest available  point , so it  drops / creeps like a shade of  lubricant  into metal seaming , been doing that forever . don't even think about it ,  all my  body seaming is oil slick . pete

You lube it and you'll be holding on to the speed control lever to keep the speed you want. The big washer and nut is the friction point that holds the position you put the lever in.

Is this your first Eaton hydro?  You may want to consider a foot pedal, then you can lube everything.

the friction in this area is so low no lube is necessary. grease will only attract dirt and will accelerate wear.

Because if you read the service guide it specifically says not to lubricate it.

My 416-H has the "Matt's Foot Pedal". So everything is loose and well lubed.
