Ed Kennell 47,065 #2 Posted 3 hours ago to theTell us more about your C-120. Was it mowing fine before this happened? Did the belt burn or tear? If the spindle and mule drive pulleys are all free, it could be a stone or stick wedged in any of the four pullies used by the deck drive belt. I buy all my belts at TSC. Full refund if they don't fit. A picture of the belt may help.

peter lena 10,026 #4 Posted 1 hour ago @Tom michael there are 12 related bearings , to a pto , mule drive , deck spindle set up . bearing lubrication failure , INCREMENTALLY stops the rotation , also relates to rough or whyining noise . that stoppage , starts the belt bouncing ,violent stopping and starting . this is a very common occurrence to these bearings . another tell tell sign of bearing failure is pto lever belt squealing , at initial trial to spin up deck . agree with @ ED KENNELL on the possibilities of deck debris . pete
