Deck rollers, anti scalp roller

Deck roller needed.

Not finding one like was on there.

It is 4+" high and  my other tractor (and replacements) has 3" high. Both 1/2".

No part number, no deck number.

Tractor is 310-8.

Deck is 37" OUTSIDE,

3 spindle, only 1 roller it's in front,

2 wheels in rear.

And is pretty beat but has new paint lol.

Got a part # ?

Is it supposed to be 4"?

Those are usually called 36" decks (the cutting width).  All of them I have seen had a 3" roller on the front.  It may have been a user improvement.  On my 3-blade decks, I've gotten in the habit of putting cheap 6" ball bearing mower wheels on a long 1/2 inch bolt.  Rolls over tree roots and such better than the little rollers, and I don't cut real short anyway.

Thanks.

User improvement or that's what he had maybe. This deck did get hit hard or repeatedly in that area.

I have another deck from smaller briggs tractor but that is another time. I'll finish this one first.

3" it will be then.

Fixing the fixes is ok with me.

Silicone, good tip,

on the shopping list thanks. Will use that for electrical too.

I put the best used 3" on there from other tractor. Used never seize.

Even the pin is worn.

Deck now ready to instal.

This tractor gives me idea for new topic "Most Hours" lol.

the 36 deck is rear discharge with spindles below the deck - the 37 deck is side discharge with spindles above the deck - either deck could be on a 310 tractor? If i understand your post -- you need a front roller -- the part numbers should be on partstree.com site, or toro parts online - unless when you say roller you mean the rear axle wheels -- they are commonly found online many sources including vendors listed here on R.Sq. - As you can see from photos i attached ------ the front rollers and rear axle tires are shown for the 37 side discharge or the 36 rear discharge

Thanks Bill.

I have both those decks. The one I was working on is in your second or lower picture.

It had a 4" high roller on the front. That roller is junk. I could not find a 4" high roller and posted such here. It now has a 3" high roller on the front thanks to these guys.

I really appreciate those pictures and your response that both decks will fit.

I suspected such.

Next shift, (later today) I will compare my decks to your pictures and report back. Maybe with more questions.

Thanks Rick, Peter, Bill, and R SQ.
