RetroMower 350 #1 Posted 5 hours ago Been a while since I posted here but I ran into an issue. Recently my daily mower that was a lil toro 8-32 bit the dust so rather than getting a replacement this late in the mowing season I just decided to put my c100 into service which I only ever used for knocking down high weeds or pulling a leaf sweeper. I rebuilt the motor and transmission in 2017 and I never had any trouble beyond needing to clean the points every spring. Today I was just about done with my 1 ½ acre yard and the engine began racing to the moon on the level and bogging terrible on gentle slopes. I was only able to finish mowing by barely giving it any throttle as the rpm kept increasing and was only controlled by the effort of mowing. As soon as I'd exit a run the rpm would skyrocket if I didn't throttle down completely.
