I made sure I put everything back together the way it was, and I was going to start it up and address the carb adjustments before getting into that, if that makes sense. One thing at a time. ri702bill 12,788 #4 Posted 6 hours ago There Is a procedure to reinstall the lever correctly on the governor shaft that must be done - properly - prior to starting the engine. It is covered in the Kohler manual. This prevents over-revving the engine on startup... did you note the link position in the set of holes on the arm & carb? It is always best to take a couple of phone pictures any time there are multiple possible settings. again, the manual should have linkage diagrams... Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Yes I noted all the positions on video and used a paint pen on the shaft and connection of the thing on the exhaust side that I had to take off to install the exhaust. I guess that's the governor shaft? I then went thru my previous videos and took screenshots and had 6-8 print outs at the tractor while reinstalling. So I'm certain everything is in its same position. If you still think it needs this procedure I'll do it. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
