larryk1 5 #1 Posted 9 hours ago Hello, Does anyone have an 800 special with a snow plow bracket installed on the Frame that they could take a picture and show me where the lock lovers go and if I need the bracket with the set up bar? I purchased the bracket assembly from wheel horse parts and more and I can't for the life of me figure out how this fits on the 800 special ? Do I not use the bracket that goes across with the set up bar? And just use the lock lovers on the tractor frame extensions? Just wanna make sure I'm understanding it. All my other wheel horses had Uni drive transmissions and I've never installed the plow on an 800 special. Thank you in advance! Larry Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
953 nut 68,363 #2 Posted 9 hours ago The 800 Special has a Peerless transmission and the bracket from WHP&M is made for the Wheel Horse Uni-drive Transaxle. Not sure it will work for you, call Lowell and see what he has to say. 1 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

And yes I know the spacing on those brackets are designed for the uni- drive and it looks like on this 800 special you just put the lock levers onto the plates that hang down from the frame. The blades at the time came in two packages. The blade model 6-9622 and the completing package 6-4113. The frame on my 855 is cracked real bad at the F plate, and the blower is on the 312–8 and the others are just show tractors. larryk1 5 #9 Posted 3 hours ago Yes I have been over the manuals for the blade and you're right nobody mentions the 800 special. I guess it's too much of an odd duck. I'm gonna put the lock levers right on the tractor frame and I'm sure the blade acquired will work. Too many blades and too many tractors. But hey that's what makes the world go round.
