September 4, 1888: Inventor George Eastman gets a patent for the roll-film camera and registers the famous trademark Kodak.

And then in 1937, The Polaroid Camera came out, giving Kodak a run for their money. The Polaroid SX-70 was the first camera to offer instant developing of the film, I believe.

Then, decades later, Digital Cameras became popular as their purchase prices dropped. Now everyone uses the built-in camera on their cell phones....

The more things change, the more things change...
