We asked the organist to mix in a few bars of 'Bohemian Raposidy' into the prelude to mom's memorial service.  I don't think many of the people there noticed. 

 

One of the church members mom had worked with through the years was a piper.  He played 'Anazing Grace' on his pipes during that service - that, they noticed.

 

Why mix some Queen into a memorial service?  In memory of a story mom told many times about a wedding service where the organist mixed in some 'Mares Eat Oats and Does Eat Oats' into the porcession.

My niece and her husband had an out door wedding next to a busy section of the Fox river. Right after they were done saying their vows, some one off in the distance started playing the beginning of "Another one bites the dust". Not load but load enough. The bride & groom did not hear it but most of the  people attending had all they could do to keep from laughing out load.

My mother in law made each of her kids their personal cassette tape of songs she selected.  Mildred would call into a local radio station and request a song and record it on the cassette.   At her visitation service, they played one of the cassettes.   My brother in law came up to us as we sat there mourning our loss and he was laughing.  "Listen to the song."  "Thank God and Greyhound She's Gone" was playing over the speakers.  Mildred would have been proud.
