Points or condenser failure will NOT keep it from cranking the engine..  Will it crank of you jump from Battery + to the starter motor terminal?  If it does then either your solenoid is bad or a wire has failed (bat to solenoid  and  Solenoid to starter ) Wouldn't hurt to check your grounds'

Do you get 12 v at eh small solenoid terminal with key in start

Went directly from battery to starter

With jumper cables to test starter independently and starter turns and works fine???

Solenoid tests good but still wondering if its Solenoid I get power everywhere ?

Somethings got to give

The heavy wires may test ok for continuity but are not passing enough amperage to spin the starter.  If you jump the two big terminals of the solenoid and it cranks then yo need a new solenoid if it doesn't crank  start checking the heavy cables...

I have use ones like these

Put new solinoid on and got nothing!

i'm totally stumped

Power goes to everything

Grounds all good have changed nothing since it was running shined up all connections and grounds before running

I don't know if regulator would cause this at this point nothing makes sense

Can you post a [picture of the wires  I suspect they may be your issue...they can look OK but not pass enough current....

I just can't see how anything has changed on wiring since it last ran and after aching unless a ground fried when arched but here are some pics 20260908_174207.jpg.65062ed8053cc67428d0c1218ba05ef1.jpgspacer.pngspacer.pngspacer.png

The battery ground seems to go to sheet metal...maybe ground the battery to an engine mounting bolt or something on the block???

That's where all the grounds go on these tractors through my research it is solid metal ! It worked fine before but I will try anything at this point!

Sure seems like I have bad ground somewhere but can't figure why arching it changed everything?

Thanks for sticking with me on this!

There is a member on here, @953 nut who always says, CHECK THE GROUNDS FIRST. Good advice.

Hallelujah.

My persistence paid off and all your help she runs again!!

Took ground from battery to engine mount and she's alive!

From the mower graveyard given new life then I killed her and brought her back to life again haha 😄

My suspicion is when you arced the rush of power broke down a sheet metal to sheet metal contact point in the ground path that was somewhat corroded anyway.
