Sparky-(Admin) 26,161 #1 Posted 21 hours ago Taking 4 flights tomorrow to get to the other side of the world. The longest trip I’ve ever taken, one flight is 16 hours in the air. And this came in the mail today, great timing! Some good reading material! Wish it had a WH on the cover but that’s fine. 7 2

You just turn the phone upside down, with screen rotation off, and then when it gets back here it will be right. 1

Been doing that on flights for years. I’ve taken plenty of 10-13 hours flights in the past. This one leg is 16 hours and is my longest yet. I will be in a sleeper pod so that’ll help being able to lay completely flat, won’t be sitting upright for 16 hours. And it’s an overnight flight so hoping to zonk-out!

Ed Kennell 46,785 #18 Posted 4 hours ago Before I retired I had a lot of long flights. I spent a lot of time in the rear of the planes doing jumping jacks and squat thrusts. Some of the flight attendants would join in. My carry on was an aluminum case containing my equipment to install strain guages. It contained exacto knives, bottles of acetone and MEK, epoxy adhesives, and electronic equipment. Wonder if I would be allowed on board today? I measured torque, thrust, and strain on large hydro turbine equipment that was showing signs of failure. 2
