953 nut 68,722 #3 Posted August 22 Molasses can safely remove rust from iron and steel through a slow chelation process, leaving the underlying metal intact. We have all heard the phrase, "slower than molasses in January," guess this substantiates it. If the cookies are for children don't strain out the iron.
