New tactics against mice

  I use the Tomcat green poison blocks in my shed and around the garage and they get eaten eventually so I assume they are working.

 But I think the mice are reproducing faster than I can take em out! So giving this a try…sterilize the little buggers! 
 Anyone here try this stuff?

Those are what I use but they offer two different kinds. Not sure what the difference is but they have different ingredients. The red bucket is more $ so maybe high test? I suppose I could google it and find out. 

Yes I get the big buckets this is war ... 

It does disappear but I find the bait stations out in the woods so guessing coons try and get at it as well. Think it may have corn in it as a binder/attractant.

I made the pvc bait holders to try and keep it away from the dog. 

I do find some carcasses so must work?? Between this tactic outside and regular victor's inside I have them under control.

Me neither but would try anything once. It sounds like it just keeps them from reproducing but like moles I wanna see em dead!

Another Tom Cat fan here as well. Don't have a major issue here but they do make an appearance in the shop occasionally, nothing in the garage or house. About 3 weeks ago I found this in the shop, looks like he had himself a good breakfast anyway. I removed the trap outdoor and placed the contents on the Farmall belly mower about 8'' off the ground. Left it there overnight and the next morning it was still in the same spot. Checked it again and on the second day he was gone. I was surprised the trap and contents didn't fall off the mower deck onto the ground. I'm thinking he ran to the Brook for water ??      @Sparky

I'll bring you some snake skin molts to Zags. The idea is to deter them before they get in there and have an orgy in you shop to reproduce in there. Still use the traps or whatever poison to get any strays but it works naturally.  

I still use traps to keep an eye on what's going on and the numbers caught, The number of catches in those traps has dropped dramatically so much so that they need to get re-baited with peanut butter more often then they catch anything. Found out they don't work forever so once a year the skins need to be replaced or add new. Keep that snake smell fresh! LOL

A couple of years ago we had a mouse in the house. So I set out traps and got nothing. We have a house cat who at the time was 15. Got him as a 6 wk. old kitten and has never been outdoors since we got him. One night I heard him meowing down stairs like at 2 in the morning. When I got up at 6 there was a dead mouse on the floor!

Same here ... back in covid when we didn't get up to the cabin they overran the place.. Out of three tractors in the warehouse they had destroyed the tins in all three. Finally got them under control. 

With fall coming this is the time of year they like to get in so be vigilant. If you feed birds it's like throwing out the welcome mat. Pay close attention to the AC unit outside. Best to bait them outside before they can get in but do use child/pet resistant stations.

Here too ... my mousers are aging so I recently added two new additions. I can't do indoor cats unless you wanna come clean the cat box. Will always have a barn cat or porch monkey or two around tho.
