B80 plow question

Recommended Posts

tractor.

I have a b80 and im unsure of what snow plow i can use, do I need a long frame, a short frame, or does it not matter being its a mid frame. Also not sure if it will matter or not, but I swapped the trans being it was seized, and i think it was from an 856 and the brakes are a little differently placed so i dont know if it will get in the way or not. Not sure if this will help or not, the photo with the newer red and chain is the one I put in and the other one is the original style from my parts b80

You need a long frame even though you have a mid frame because if you don't, the plow might hit the tires in the right situation of angle.

The brake location will not matter.   The long frame will work with either style axle bracket.     The short frame may work with the older style axle bracket that has the notches in front of the axle.

With a fairly tall 16" tire and the plow angled full it's reeeaaally close on one side. Don't recall which.  Bump an obstacle and it makes contact, tire to plow.

Do it hard enough and wreck a tire or even bend/break something!
