Handy Don 17,125 #31 Posted 34 minutes ago Yep. Internally it overrides the clutch switch (i.e. prevents grounding the magneto) to allow the engine to start. Once sufficient voltage from the magneto is reached, the override ends which would seem to want to shut down the engine.
