Handy Don 17,168 #31 Posted Friday at 05:31 PM Yep. Internally it overrides the clutch switch (i.e. prevents grounding the magneto) to allow the engine to start. Once sufficient voltage from the magneto is reached, the override ends which would seem to want to shut down the engine. That might have been a company standard, or government regulation. Trina has a pull start Horse here that @Sparky once owned. She can sit in the seat and tug the rope just fine.
