608KEB 829 #1 Posted 6 hours ago Hello, Is the deck belt # for a 42' SD mower deck belt 102742? for a C or 330, 400, 500 series tractor? 103" OD? I have two new 42" RD belts # 108834 98" length. peter lena 9,984 #4 Posted 14 minutes ago @608KEB do yourself a favor , while in the belt stage ? how does every related pulley move / feel ? no matter where you start there is a another drive hand off stage , lets say , pto lever to pto drive cone / engine , known for engine heat lubrication failure , that inner needle bearing is typically cooked in dry / rough used to be grease , outer related sealed bearing is also suspect , sense where i,m going with this ? now add in the deck spindle bearings ? how about the mule drive set up ? belts show you the way ? frayed , worn belts are telling you what ?? INCREMENTAL LUBRICATATION FAILURE , literally stops a pulley for a fraction of a second , that also starts , deck WHYINING ,belt bounce , how about pto lever screaming ? heavily worn clutch disc ? regularly see and hear this all the time . ironically , total bearing lube clean / change out stops this , period , 3 decks for years , nothing but operational running ease . no belt wear / failures , like T/S ARIMID BELTS , mine are years in use , it all spins with ease . lucas x tra hd green chassis grease , 550 deg flash point , also polyurea rated , stays with bearing , never wore out a clutch disc . just a change made years ago , still working with ease , then went after fuel hose debris , thats gone too , get fed up ,pete Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
