gt14rider 1,255 #1 Posted 3 hours ago Hi all , got a question. Working on a 1972 charger 12 with a sunstrand 90 - 1136 hydro gear. The tractor sat for 30 + years . I drained atf ,the atf was dark, but no shinny parts in the pan. New atf, 1410 filter, service all the ports , checked springs, replaced all O rings, checked valves ( forward and reverse ), springs look good, no nicks or burrs . Took a red wh filter off, so it's been a while since last service Question is how to get some atf up in the top of pump. Don't want to dry start if possible. What do you guys think 🤔 Thanks Tim

gt14rider 1,255 #4 Posted 1 hour ago (edited) Thanks Paul, added some atf, tryed to fill others ports but didn't seem to take much, I can just hear those brass slippers and pump grinding on a dry start. Thanks Tim Edited 1 hour ago by gt14rider Pic
rmaynard 17,435 #5 Posted 1 hour ago The transmission holds 4 quarts. How much have you gotten in? Turn things by hand at first.
