WHX?? 57,596 #27 Posted August 9 (edited) No problem ... I was gonna see if it run but it needs a complete wiring job. I just pushed it in the warehouse for now. Start collecting the things you'll need which is everything on the dash. Edited August 9 by WHX??

Repro WWII Jeep choke & throttle cable are available from a place in Tennessee - sold on Ebay. Choice of green or black knobs - the black with the white letters look just like the OE WH parts. Do you have a link for the choke and throttle cables? I never knew someone reproduced them. I didn’t know they were the same as jeeps. I don’t mean to high jack the thread. The 701 is super nice!! It’s personally my favorite model! I love the patina on it. I wouldn’t change a thing, except for the wiring and dash to get it running and working again. Nice score!! They are not repros but close enough for the women we go out with. Yes made for Jeep restos. There have been many links to them here in the past and you can find them on fleabay and other places. @Achto found some super nice ones for his 701 and they were high test locking but they are NLA now and yet to find them elsewhere. Most are non locking and don't come with the plastic outer covering but shrink wrap makes them look orginal. You may often have to paint them black and white letter them. Search keywords are jeep cables throttle choke ... try Note these are out of stock https://www.ebay.com/itm/276726990312 2
MainelyWheelhorse 2,971 #30 Posted yesterday at 04:40 PM (edited) https://www.kaiserwillys.com/ This company has WWII Jeep parts too. A quick search on the site brought up both new throttle and choke cables that weren’t all that expensive, and seemed to look like @WHX??’s example on eBay. I’ve used the company before on a Jeep project and it’s pretty nice quality made stuff. Edited yesterday at 04:42 PM by MainelyWheelhorse

On the subject of cables, if they ever have any Willys that have locks on the throttle cable, I'd jump all over it. Sadly, I haven't found any of those. It really locks up too. Once you lock the throttle you can push the tractor with it

I believe he (Dan) had one on a tractor at the Big Show year before last that he showed me. I think it was him and it would indeed stay wherever you set it. I have been looking off and on ever since and have never found them anywhere. The higher quality friction type do all right but just don't have the shelf life of the others
