Again any help from all you professional people out there would be appreciated. Again I have a 1990 310-8 with a 42 inch recycler deck that is burning up belts. I am sending you a picture of the PTO. I am not really good at this so please be patient. I will answer all emails. Thank you for all the help. Are the bearings good? I tried to get pictures in the sun. I hope this helps. Thank you to all.

Looks good, the only time that bearing spins is when the belt is disengaged.

What does the friction disk (the plate the thing you posted pushes against) look like?

Burned belts usual mean drag in teh deck or the mule drive

What about the outer bearing on the PTO. They go bad quite often. Napa # PP204RR6

Good to see you have figured out how to post pictures and comments on your existing post.     As stated above, the PTO bearing is not involved when the PTO is engaged.   Are you sure you have the correct size belt? If the belt is too narrow it will bottom out in the pulleys and not grip the sides of the VEE as designed.  Can you post a picture of the belt installed and how it fits in the PTO and deck pulleys?
