snow plow for 312-8

Recommended Posts

I found this snow plow on not -a local - marketplace, extremely rare in EU; Will that fit my 312-8? I suppose that is 42" plow, long frame?  I have plow bracket on my transmission. Looks like there is all what is needed.

Yes, it will fit. And it looks complete, but without the optional bent metal skids. But by using the Dial-a-Height adjuatment, they are nice to have, but not absolutely required.

How is the cutting edge? It is symmetrical and can be flipped over  - if that has not already been done.

I cant tell in pic but appears the push/pull rod is missing that changes the blade angle. No biggie very easy to fab one up with a couple Heim joints and round stock, all thread would work but not very stout. Very handy piece of equipment and one of my favorite seat times, pushing snow.

Yes, it will make a useful addition for your 312-8.   You may have to modify the blade angle lever to clear the foot rest.  The lever can be bent, the offset turned around, and spacers added to clear the foot rest.      I also like the lever that pulls the locking pin in the front so my fingers are squeezing the lever.    If you intend to use the blade for grading , a solid lift link can be used to apply down force for scraping.

If you end up getting this am interested in knowing what is on the ID tag.

The 9095 build date is not correct. It should be 0095. The end of a calendar year often messed with their Julian build dates.

The model number is readable 06-42BC01 - a 1980 model

The serial looks like 1116x
