Can a Four Year Old Drive a Horse?

Funny (not) how many / most would consider a 4 year old on a :wh: to be unsafe / child abuse... i recall some YouTube videos being flagged etc.

Barney responds to voice commands when being worked by adults.   Amos is using the reins. I'm not sure Barney would follow a child's voice.

Here's what I know about the subject:

 

In PA you can get a DUI on a bicycle. But you can't get a DUI on a horse, unless the horse is also drunk.

Yep. And a good horse needs firm direction. 

My sister had a big, powerful horse she rode often. She declared after a fall that broke her arm and collar bone that she’d been indecisive in her input which confused the horse leading them to part ways!

The Amish neighbor to my north side screams at the mules, it sounds awful.  When the kid is working the mules his voice can barely be heard and I think he gets better results.
