Razorback 1,356 #10 Posted 2 hours ago Thank you for all of the happy birthday wishes!! It was a double-whammy this year with Father’s Day being the same day. Had a wonderful time. It was made even more special because this was the first time I got to celebrate Father’s Day along with my 32-yr-old #2 child and his awesome family. Long story short, the divorce between me and his mother played havoc on his young life from about age 10 on. An example of why that happened is summed up in a comment she made to me the last time we were splitting up (May of 2000): “I have nothing to use against you except the kids, and I will.” She followed through on that, and really poured it on when she realized the kids really liked my current wife (we’ve been married now 23 years)…. Taught them all (4 kids) to hate Dad and everything related. Well, since late 2024, my two oldest, both boys, have been reunited and all is well. So…… this year was EXTRA special, and I attribute it all to the good Lord following through on His promise: “I’ll take care of you and the kids…. Just keep doing what you know I want you to do.” I truly believe that He preserved us through some really awful times, so we could enjoy days like yesterday TOGETHER, with NO DRAMA or UPSET. Got to enjoy him, his awesome wife, and two precious grandchildren….. girl 4, boy 2…… and they LOVE their “Lolli and Pops”!!! (#3, girl, is on the way, too!!) So, YES….. yesterday was a wonderful birthday and Father’s Day!!! Thank you very much!!! Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
