EB-80/8inPA 2,061 #26 Posted June 22 I do miss the moggies (they both lived to a ripe old age), but I’m not much of a fan of feral cats that kill the songbirds. The snakes can eat the mice for all I care.

We have very few.
jsoluna 514 #28 Posted June 22 As an owner of several cats, two dogs, and a flock of birds I appreciate the efforts you went through to protect and save. We need more of this in the world today. 1 1
ebinmaine 79,943 #29 Posted June 22 Trina made some calls to a couple places about assistance and ideas for health checks and spay/neuter. Still waiting for information there. We were able to move momma cat in with her babies. Got some litter and more food variety. Trina ordered a very large cat cage too. Hopefully it'll be here Thursday. 1

ebinmaine 79,943 #32 Posted June 24 Trina and her momma built and modified/ reinforced this cat apartment today. She bought a kit off rhe jungle site. Added a ton of extra screws, staples, and extra latches. Also added the board ramps to ease climbing for a week or two. 2
ebinmaine 79,943 #33 Posted 8 hours ago Trina spent some time organizing and cleaning the lower shed/workshop this afternoon. In the far right corner, you can see a large wooden box. My maternal Grampa King and I built that back in the 1990s. It was intended to be a toy box, then a shelf of my own. We're moving that box outta that area and placing the cat shelter cage in that corner. At some point, soon, the momma cat will be released into the shed interior. Separate food and litter box. When the kittens are spayed/neutered, they, too, will be released in the building. Following that, we'll devise a jumping shelf system outside (not a ramp) so they can access an open window all the time. 1
