Sorry for confusion of a question… what I ment to ask is … how do I know if starter generator itself is working properly … and if it’s not.. what does it cost usually to have rebuilt (told before as with engine best to have orginal rebuilt or repaired instead of replacing) Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

You need to tackle one issue at a time, and the fact that you keep trying to go after all of them at once is why your issues seem so large. You need the engine to run before you can assess the generator. If it cranks that is a good sign. There is a set of contacts you can jump momentarily inside the regulator and it will make it crank, cycle the key to the start position and back off again to make it stop.
