peter lena 9,990 #1 Posted June 15 https://www.google.com/search?q=kohler+pto+cone+nedle+bearing&rlz=1C1CHBF_enUS866US866&oq=kohler++pto+cone+nedle+bearing++&gs_lcrp=EgZjaHJvbWUyBggAEEU regularly refer to this area , in my , mechanical , functional detailing , all my pto cones , spin with total ease , lack of effort , years ago , flushed out , original , dry crusty " lubrication ," bearing was surprisingly smooth / free, of course , lucas hi heat / stress , polyurea GREEN chassis grease , vital base line movement ease start ? no areas in my lever start to mule drive , which spins down , with total ease after lever engagement ? this improvement is very simple / easy , realise , a lot of my suggestions , are not in the book , coming to the end of my , WH experience , era reality , vs father time , regularly , look right at , repetitive, failures ? Very light application. Seems like I picked the seals out of the ball bearings holding the stub shaft and repacked them with Lucas Red N Tacky as well Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
peter lena 9,990 #7 Posted June 19 @8ntruck years back , removed the pto clutch brake pad set up , at that time , also removed disc from drive hub area , carefully cleaned out original , dry crispy used to be lubrication , from original bearing , was in very good shape , carb cleaner , flush out , VERY LIGHTLY repack with , lucas green , 550 flash point , polyurea rated chassis grease , the transformational bearing function , was simply amazing , smooth easy spin up , no noise , what a concept , vital start of COLLECTIVE BELT DRAG ? all my deck spindles , and mule drives have this change over , also battery tray , lever start detailing ? try / test / verify , thats home base for me , my decks engage ,and rotate , with smooth quiet ease , also use similar thought , for other repetitive failures , unthreaded shoulder bolts , ensure a smooth swing point , washered up and elastic Lok nut , lets you dial in a perfect lubricated swing point , plow swing lever , squeeze lever , to frame , like butter , roller stool , look see , lets you think about change . pete 1 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
